After much patience (ok, not really too much patience) I purchased a BBQ Guru for my egg.

I've been thinking of getting a BBQ Guru but I'm not really sure its necessary. Keeping the temp. regular is pretty easy so far, but I haven't done any real long burns. Do you find it useful?

Is it a must have? No, not by any means, the egg is so forgiving and holds heat so well its really great.
I love the guru tho for those long over night cooks, it does an eggscellent job at the low and slow cooking and you can sleep at ease knowing your temp is going to be exactly what you want.
the BBQ guru is not the only product out there tho, I've read about the Stokes pit minder and am sure it does a great job, whether you get it or not, you can't go wrong with the egg.
